Many Shades of Gray

Winter outside of Pittsburgh has inspired thought on how many shades of gray there are. From "sunny" grays to snow shower grays to endless layers of clouds grays. I have discovered that within these varied grays are many colorful, uplifting moments. Most of these have surrounded my bird feeders.

This pondering of grays has spread further than the weather report and is filtering into my art by way of drawings. I have been rediscovering how much I enjoy pencil, pen and crayon and am going on a further exploration of "gray".

So much to discover!

Inauguration Day!

There are many uses for sculpture. Even "Butterflies are Free" was feeling patriotic today!

We spent the day watching history and Magic, my goofy Newfy decided she wanted to take part too. Here's to Hope!

Starting the New Year

A New year's day brunch at a friend's and some fun walks in Maryland countryside started the new year. Then off to Dallas for the Safari Club show. I love going down to the show since I get to stay at my favorite "bed and breakfast", Mom and Dad's house! My sister-in-law, Cindy was the best chauffeur, getting me to the show and back.

A dozen of my sculptures were displayed in the booth with John Banovich's paintings. I love having sculptures and paintings displayed together.
